Dear Friends,

In case you haven't noticed, I have neglected the blog.  It's happened a time or two (or three) before.  Life kind of gets away from me and the day to day stuff bogs me down.  Really, what can I post about but the mundane stuff that everyone else experiences.  But, at the same time, I am completely alright with that.

I forgot to post about Christmas.  This probably has something to due with the fact that I was barely coming out of the morning sickness fog.  It was pretty intense folks.  I am so glad to be over that part of the pregnancy.  In fact, I get to have my ultrasound next week.  Yes, THE ultrasound...the one when you find out what you're having, except we don't do that part.  HA!  I know it drives a lot of people nuts that we don't find out the sex of the baby, but that's just how we are.  There's no particular reason, and then it is a big surprise when the baby arrives, and we're already pretty excited and emotional, so we don't care what we're having.

Oh yeah, back to Christmas.  Here are a few fun pictures to summarize our Christmas experience.  Only slightly a month later, but I am going to try to be better about updating.  JD gave me a new camera for Christmas (our old one was kind of dying), and unfortunately, I can't find the cord to the old camera, which has some Christmas Eve, and pre-Christmas pictures.  Urgh.

Silas broke his clavicle 2 days before Christmas, which is why he's in a sling.  He was running in the driveway, kicking a soccer ball, and did some crazy acrobatic fall, landing right on his shoulder.  The sling only slowed him down for a few days, and he only hurt every so often.  Reminds me of when he broke his arm when he was a baby.  He never slows down.

One of Silas' gifts was a Lightning McQueen potty chair.  Yes, we are getting serious about potty training now.  The seat has a little shifter on the side that makes a vroom sound when you push it.  He is finally excited about this next step in his life, and so are we.

Asher and Silas got some cool Star Wars guns from Tutu and Boppa Jeff, to remain at their house when they visit.  I don't know why this picture is so funny to me, but his expression is priceless.

Sweet Baby Jude is becoming quite the little ham.  Notice that mark on his forehead, yeah that happened after JD and I got home from my birthday date.  Jude threw a fit when I was putting some food away, and launched himself into the door frame in our kitchen.  This wouldn't be such a big deal if it weren't for the ancient door hinges right there (there's no door, I don't know why the landlord left behind the door hinges).  When I picked him up, he was bleeding a lot, and had a pretty good gash.  Since we already knew what would happen if we took him to the ER, we decided to just take care of it at home.  Cleaned it really well, and glued him back together.

This is what Christmas Day looks like.  Lots of laughing, snacking, and hanging out.  I love it.

The day after Christmas, we met up with some of JD's cousins, and we all took our kids to the park.  It was tons of fun for the little cousins to get to play with each other.  We are the only ones who don't live close by, so these kids see each other all the time (and they actually live next door to each other).

Look for more Chilton updates to come soon....one of these days I will catch up.

That's awesome that you guys don't find out! I wanted to do it that way but Jeff wanted to find out so we made a compromise - we didn't find out for the first and now we find out every time until we have a girl and then we won't find out any more. That way, if we end up needing girl stuff (which looks less and less likely each time) then we will know it before it. With any luck, May will be the last time we have to find out. (Yes, we are expecting #4 also!)
